Experienced editors can apply for a position in New York.
Marie Claire magazine seeks a senior editor to assign and edit features with a concentration on news, profiles, women's issues and social trends.
The ideal candidate will be able to report, write display copy and handle book excerpts. The editor will work closely with the features department on packages, special projects and cover lines, along with cultivating a roster of writers, especially investigative journalists, and represent the magazine at industry events.
Applicants must have at least four years of experience covering breaking news as a writer and editor. Candidates should also be well-versed on women's issues and have appropriate writer contacts.
