Students or young professional journalists with less than five years
of experience can apply for a grant to attend a program in Germany.The Fulbright Commission invites 15 American journalists and
journalism students to Germany for the Berlin Capital Program, a
one-week program with an intensive series of seminars, presentations and
visits to important German media, political and cultural institutions.
The grant covers program costs, round-trip transportation from the United States to Germany and back, health insurance coverage during the seminar and a per diem allowance for meals, lodging and local travel.
Scheduled for November 17 - 23, the program is conducted in English; German proficiency is not required.
The application deadline is June 4.
