Journalists who cover the Brazilian state of Pará can enter.
The Companhia Paraense de Turismo - Paratur is accepting entries for the second edition of the Comendador Marques dos Reis journalism prize.
The competition aims to draw the attention of national and international media to tourism in Pará, promoted as the "Masterpiece of the Amazon" region.
Works must focus on Pará as a tourist destination and have been published or aired between January 1, 2012 and May 15, 2013, in Brazil or abroad.
The award categories are: print journalism, online media, radio, television and photojournalism. The winners will receive a total of BR$115,000 (about US$60,000).
The deadline to apply is May 15.
