The 17th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, a member and co-founder of the Doc Alliance, will be held October 24 - 29, in the Czech Republic. The event will feature competitive and non-competitive exhibits, experimental film screenings, workshops and debates, seminars, panels, concerts and professional training activities.
The festival program awards the best international documentaries, the best Central and Eastern European documentaries; best Czech documentaries and others.
Competitive films must have been produced after January 1, 2012. English subtitles are required for all films, unless English is the language of the film.
Participation is free, but participants must pay a fee of EU€30 (about US$39) for digitization.
The deadline for films made in 2012 is April 30, 2013; the deadline for films made in 2013 is June 30, 2013.
