The Premio Nacional de Periodismo Simón Bolívar, which aims to stimulate and reward excellence in various genres of journalism, invites Colombian journalists to submit entries.
Interested journalists can submit print, radio, television or Internet entries in the following categories: cartoon; opinion column (print and Internet); analysis or debate programming (radio and television); chronicle and feature story (print, radio, television and Internet); interview (print, radio, television and Internet); journalism photography or graphic reporting (print and Internet); investigation (print, radio, television and Internet); news (print, radio, television and Internet); and the Young Journalist Scholarship
To participate in the contest, all candidates must be Colombian nationals or have had permanent residence in Colombia for at least three years.
Journalists may only submit one entry unless they are presenting entries as part of a group. All entries must have been produced between April 27, 2012 and April 26, 2013.
The winner of each category will win a cash prize of COP$17,000,000 (US$9,295).
The deadline is May 2
