Fellowships for continuing media studies open MENA

Women from various Arab countries who are interested in pursuing an advanced degree in journalism can apply for a spot in the master's program at the American University of Cairo.
The Arab Women Professionals Fellowship Program (AWPP), co-funded by The American University in Cairo and the Open Society Foundations Scholarship Programs, is accepting applications from the following countries: Cairo, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
Fields of study include international human rights law, journalism and mass communication, Middle East studies, migration and refugee studies, political science, economics, economics in international development, gender and women’s studies in the Middle East and North Africa.
Fellows are expected to attend workshops on leadership skills and undertake internships that will increase their leadership abilities.
Participants will receive health insurance, a monthly stipend, books, a supplies and equipment allowance, and professional development funds.
Interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with a at least a 3.2 GPA. The AUC graduate admissions requirements can be viewed here.
