Journalists invited to submit personal stories

Media professionals worldwide can compete to have their work published in a book and to receive a cash prize.
John Dale Publishing Ltd. is seeking entries for its 24 Hours in World Journalism book project, which aims to promote journalistic excellence, freedom of expression and the recognition of journalistic courage and integrity through first-person storytelling.
Journalists, or those involved in journalism in any way, are invited to submit a written snapshot of their day, starting on March 11 at 6 a.m. GMT and ending March 12 at 6 a.m. GMT.
Applicants should cover the usual questions of who, what, when, where and why. The document should be written in the first person, and should contain plenty of color and dialogue. Authors should state their motivations, hopes and fears. Reports from photographers and videographers – including paparazzi – are welcome.
Entries should be 500 - 1,000 words, but can be longer if the author wishes. Submissions can be written in any language.
Cash prizes will be awarded to seven individual contributors as follows: one award of US$5,000; one of US$2,500; and five of US$500 each.
