Free webinar on digital content creation

ournalists interested in learning about digital tools can attend this free online training session.
News University, a Poynter Institute e-learning project, is offering a webinar titled "Content Curation and Creation with Spundge: A Digital Tools Tutorial." The session, sponsored by the American Press Institute and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, will take place April 10 at 2 p.m. EST.
Participants will learn how to use Spundge, a curation and publishing platform used by journalists at Digital First Media, Quartz, National Journal, the Vancouver Sun, and other news outlets. It is used to easily track news and topics, and to quickly discover and curate content from social networks and other sources.
The tutorial will address how Spundge can help you save time by tracking RSS feeds and social networks all in one place; ways to increase newsroom collaboration and knowledge sharing that will save time and reduce duplication of tasks; how to use content curated in Spundge to quickly create blog posts, e-mail newsletter and articles that can instantly be published on any website; and how other newsrooms and organizations are using Spundge.
The course will be taught by Craig Silverman, an award-winning journalist and the founder of Regret the Error, a blog on Poynter.org
