BBC Persian seeks broadcast journalist Washington DC

Experienced journalists who are fluent in English and Farsi can apply for this position.
BBC Persian is seeking a broadcast journalist for its Washington office.
The successful candidate will carry out pre-and post-production work, both live and pre-recorded, as well as voice and edit packages at the desktop. The journalist will also suggest new angles and formats on existing stories and help media production across the Persian Service, possibly revising material for radio, television and online.
Applicants should have Farsi as a first or equivalent language, and as well as a full comprehension of English and a familiarity with the United States. Candidates should possess an in-depth understanding of international and local affairs. Experience as a journalist in a relevant journalistic environment is essential, as is proven translation skills, strong IT skills and the ability to type in Farsi.
