Scholarships for Journalists of Latin America

Journalists, media specialists and students from Latin America can apply for scholarships to undertake postgraduate or doctoral studies in Spain during the 2013-2014 academic period.
The Fundación Carolina has opened the 13th edition of its scholarship program which will offer a total of 582 scholarships for postgraduate, doctoral and short postdoctoral studies in Spain.
The training program aims to facilitate and promote continuing education among university graduates, as well as the specialization and enhanced knowledge of postgraduates, professors, researchers, artists and professionals.
The postgraduate scholarships train participants from member countries of the Ibero-American community who have a strong academic or professional background as demonstrated by an outstanding resume. Scholarships are offered in six thematic academic areas including programs in the area of arts, humanities and communication.
The fellowships are intended to encourage the procurement of doctoral degrees among teachers of the Latin American universities associated with the foundation. Doctoral programs can be undertaken in any academic area in any of the Spanish universities that have signed an agreement with the Fundación Carolina. In all cases, it is the university or the educational institution associated with the foundation that must nominate candidates to the Fundación Carolina.
The deadline is April 7.
