Fellowship for US, Asia Pacific journalists

Journalists in the United States, Asia and the Pacific Islands can apply for a fellowship.
The East-West Center presents the Jefferson Fellowships, a three-week seminar and travel program for journalists to broaden their understanding of Asia Pacific issues and build a professional network.
Approximately four to five U.S. journalists and seven to nine from Asia Pacific will travel to Honolulu, Tokyo, Beijing and Myanmar with airfare, lodging, per diem and most other program expenses covered. .
Working print, broadcast and online journalists with at least five years' experience and English fluency are eligible.
The U.S. Embassy Islamabad Public Affairs Section will provide funding for two Pakistani journalists. All participants are responsible for a US$500 program fee and all visa-related expenses.
Focusing on the theme "New Leadership in the Asia Pacific: Resolving Old Problems, Managing New Realities," this year's program takes place June 9 - 30.
Submit a letter of interest, references, one recommendation letter and an employer's letter of support by February 28.
