Global Forum for Media Development seeks coordinator Belgium

Professionals with experience in media development who are fluent in French can apply for this position in Brussels.
The Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD), is seeking a coordinator to manage and shape its global profile.
The coordinator will develop GFMD as a global network of media development organizations and make it a reference for quality, innovation and influence in all aspects of media development and media support.
The successful candidate will foster GFMD as a platform to raise, discuss debate and research on the problems that are confronting the media sector, thereby promoting a vibrant and free environment for media.
Applicants should have an excellent understanding and experience in the field of media development, information society, the media and development aid; strong personal communication and negotiation skills in an intercultural global setting; a track record in fundraising and grant management; experience in writing articles, key notes, external communications and coordination of publications; and experience organizing major events and conferences, and management of international networks.
Professional English is required, and other languages will be an asset (Arabic, Russian, Spanish).
